Sorry its been so long, life has been pretty hectic. We are thanking God every day for every person that has supported us through this time. I can't tell you how much the meals have helped us, as nights get incredibly difficult.
Zech is having a pretty difficult time being away from either one of us during that time so we are trying to find ways to help transition him off his dependence on our presence. He must see both of us starting at around 7pm, or he ends up in hysterics about not being able to see us. We have encouraged him that he is safe and it only lasts for 5 minutes before he has to be told again. This will go on until he falls asleep and then when he wakes up at night, its a 3 hour situation of trying to convince him he's ok to get him to go back to sleep. To say sleeping has been rough would be pretty accurate. I'm not sharing this to elicit any form of response, simply to inform everyone so they can better understand why we aren't necessarily answering back, having to cancel plans, or aren't up for visitors. We love having visitors normally and are excited to get back to that, but that season hasn't come yet. Don't stop asking though because there are days that have worked out! Just not the majority, and thank you for your understanding when plans do fall through.
Dassy is truly starting to do better and is very open when speaking to me about her honest, real, hard feelings/thoughts. She's healing and we are so grateful for the prayers for her ❤️ the other kids are doing well too, thank you for the prayers for them as well.
Zech has an appointment this Thursday to see if we are able to move forward with the steps of shaping for the prosthesis, so please stay in prayer for that. We did end up having to go back into Children's this past Wednesday to ensure his symptoms weren't an indication of infection, and praise God, no infection! They did change his dressing as it wasn't smelling the best, so we were grateful for that as well.
Exciting news! Our younger chickens are starting to lay and we are so happy for that. The kids love collecting the "baby eggies" and Zech loves inspecting them when they bring them inside. Life is STILL good, and God is STILL good ❤️ Thank you all for caring for our little man ❤️
