This week is a full one for our family — and a really special one, too!

Yesterday, we traveled to Rogers, AR for a one-day DMI session.

Today, we headed to Kansas City for Benny’s orthopedic appointment at Children’s Mercy.

They are recommending hip surgery for him, but it’s not a simple fix — it would be a long, tough recovery with some real risks involved.

For now, we’re choosing to explore less invasive options like Botox and medications.

Travis and I are not fully closing the door on surgery in the future — we just feel called to try every other avenue first.

We also had an amazing visit at CCVI (Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired)!

They shared so many helpful ideas — new ways to use Benny’s switches, suggestions for different ones, and even steps toward introducing an iPad, which could become an important tool for his communication one day. It was truly encouraging!

The week doesn’t slow down from here:

• Wednesday: PT and Vision Therapy at home

• Thursday: OT, PT, and Speech in Parsons + Hyperbaric Therapy in Wichita

• Friday: Another round of Hyperbaric Therapy in Wichita

• Plus squeezing in chiropractor visits! 🤪

In the middle of it all, I am trying to show up fully for my girls, be the wife my husband needs, and run a business — and while some days I feel a bit like a rag doll, God’s strength keeps carrying us through.

We stay steadfast for Benny, believing in his journey and giving him every opportunity to thrive.

I’m beyond grateful for the incredible team of doctors, therapists, and for all of YOU who pray, encourage, and support us. You’re truly part of this journey.

And amidst all the busyness, we have something extra sweet to celebrate…

Our Clara girl is turning THREE this weekend!

She is such a bright light in our lives, and we can’t wait to shower her with love and joy. For her birthday we bought her a Gtube baby doll and syringes and all of the things for her to do alongside mom & dad, because she loves to help with Benny she is so in tune with everything we do with him, I will share it once we gift it! She says she’s going to be a doctor and I believe it!
