We made some edits to the terminology in past posts. Rather than calling this cancer metastatic we will say locally advanced and aggressive- we are treating to cure.

We are grateful to have caught this before it spread to my bones. Although paperwork and charts say metastatic, stage 3C with spread to armpit, mammary and clavicle lymphs, this is still considered localized spreading overall.
We are grateful to be treating for a cure, and that this is not stage 4.
We are grateful amazing medicines exist for this specific type of cancer. We are grateful for a smart and collaborative team across Ithaca and Memorial Sloan Kettering.
We pray that the medicines work and stop the spread right now at stage 3C so it doesn't go anywhere else.
We are focusing on faith over fear and gratitude, grace and grit.
