We are glad to report that Steph got Chemo dose #2 today, and all went well.
Last Monday the port was surgically placed, so all future chemo goes through the port near the collarbone and not through arm veins. Surgery recovery was uncomfortable, but the chemo itself was quick and positive again.
From July to October, chemo doses are every three weeks (powerful drug, gives time to recover before the next dose). This includes today (wearing the lucky shirt and covered in prayer from near and far!), 8/26, and 9/16. We have already noticed a lymph node shrinking, and keep praying for effective and positive results.
Then starting October 7th, the doses will be weekly on Wednesdays until 12/23, and Jim can often attend with Steph. It's a long road, but as a sweet friend pointed out, 2 down already.
