First cycle is officially complete! Today went well and thanks to some good nausea meds I have been able to sleep and rest a lot. Next week I have appointments for PET scan to look for metastasis, appointment and lab work with oncology, More iv fluids and meet with a radiation oncologist to discuss plan. Also I am getting a port placed next Friday. Very grateful to have this done as my veins were not cooperating today. I am planning to work some as well which I really hope to be able to do. I am so grateful for such a supportive office and work family.
I thank you all so much for your words of encouragement, prayers, texts and love. I have felt your prayers lifting me and our family up and am so grateful. Sending love to you all.

Hi Ashley,
I'm glad you have nothing else medical scheduled for the rest of the week. Hopefully you can rest up and have a little more energy by Monday. Next week sounds pretty busy even without the chemo. I'm glad there seems to be a "cocktail" of meds that helps your nausea. Maybe that and the port will make cycle two a little more comfortable. I'm praying for a great PET scan report. Hugs!

We are oh so rooting for you Ashley. You are an amazing human being on so many levels and we are going to pray our way to victory over this scourge. Beth was glad to hear you are getting a port placed as those chemo drugs are not kind to the veins. Kind compassionate people tend to be magnets for others who are equally so. You have attracted a multitude to your cause!
