Asher’s muscle tone is tight and he was biting his tongue overnight so they had to call ENT back to put another block in. They’ve started baclofen to help his muscles relax and increased his propranolol to help with neurostorming. 

He’s been on the cpap most of today and is rocking it.  Unless Yah tells Asher to get up and walk over the weekend we’re going to move forward with a tracheostomy early next week so we can get him off the ventilator. His lungs are ready, but they’re concerned his tongue is going to cause upper airway obstruction and they would want to wait weeks for his tongue and muscle tone with him on the vent. 

Karina said God showed her that Asher has a tongue of fire. For those of you that know him, you know this is absolutely true. I got to thinking about how in Scripture the tongues of fire are a representation of the Holy Spirit and I couldn’t help but think the issues we’ve been having with his tongue is further spiritual attack in an attempt to keep this boy from doing God’s work. 

Please pray for us to stay encouraged. We don’t doubt he will be healed, but in the thick of it it’s very hard to stay focused on that. We’re like Peter on the water.
