What an ordeal today! First, we were bumped from the hospital floor he was on to a different one because construction was starting. Then came a series of phone calls trying to coordinate his return to the rehab facility. The doctors had cleared him to go back yesterday, but the receiving facility was hesitant since the on-call doctor wasn’t as familiar with his case as his regular physician. After some back-and-forth and even getting hospital administration involved; we finally made progress. 

We’re happy to share that, after our 12th ambulance ride, he’s safely back at his rehab facility. They have welcomed us back with opened arms and many came by to see us already. We even got his original room back -  We started in this room, and we’ll finish in this room -he will come out stronger, more grateful, and ready for what’s next.

Tomorrow they’ll reassess him to determine his current baselines, but for now, he’s finally resting. The sound of his snores brings me such peace, knowing how much he’s struggled to sleep lately.
