Hi guys! 

We’re still hanging in here waiting for a heart. We just got over being sick with a cold last week but we’re back to feeling better! 

I haven’t updated in a while because it’s just been a busy month full of gifts for her birthday, Mother’s Day visits and then of course getting sick. It was so so busy! 

She had a great birthday party! Even some kids from our floor got to come and celebrate with us. The nurses bought her the cutest little car that we’ve been riding in everyday NONSTOP lol. 

Andrew let me have a mini shopping n spree at Five Below to get silly things to make heart happy for Mother’s Day! My granny, mom and auntie also came the following weekend to spend time with us. It was nice spending time with the four generations of crazy women!

It got a little tough mentally when we couldn’t figure out why Adrienne was throwing up so much. I just hate seeing her miserable. We did some testing and found out that it takes over an hour for her food to start moving through her stomach ( 69 minutes to be exact lol) so she’s constantly full due to slow gut motility. She’s on a new medication that has been helping a lot! She’s still throws up here and there but not as much as she was, so we’ll take it. When you have a bad heart, your body focuses on sending blood to the most important organs (brain, lungs, etc.) The gut is the last place to get blood flow because the body has other important things to maintain. So we know her digestion will improve drastically once she gets her new heart. 

In the meantime, we’re just hanging out. I’ll try to do better with updates but I’m really bad at it haha! Please forgive me.
