We have been taking things a bit more slowly the past couple of weeks. Enjoying being together to honor and recognized the birth of our Lord, and celebrating Zane’s 10th birthday! I am reminded each birthday of what a dear friend once shared with me - “Janina, the days are long but the years are short.” That statement is so true and such a call to relish every moment, even the messy ones.

Over the past 2 weeks, we have been having such gorgeous weather that we have enjoyed being outside! And even Zeke has been loving it. As a matter of fact, he asks every day to go outside in his gait trainer. He likes to wear his boots, play ball with Daddy and Zane and walk up and down the driveway. He thinks it is so much fun and his head control is blowing my mind. And wearing his boots - they are heavy yet he is able to pick his feet up and step! It’s been amazing to watch this bc 1 year ago we would not have been able to do this. I’m constantly reminded that miraculous healing can come in an instant and it also comes in a journey. I’ve attached some pictures so you can see too!

You might be wondering how he asks. He is actually a good communicator once you get to know him. He looks at the gait trainer and then at the door. And he repeats this several times. The he adds some vocalization if you don’t get it right away - ha!

We started schooling again yesterday and I was blown away when Zeke was able to hold the pencil properly and write a B! Now, I want to give the real picture here - I had to support his arm, but his little hand grasped the pencil, drew a straight line and two curves to make a B - which is the letter we were practicing.

Please be praying -
(1) Our next intensive begins 1/26. We need loads of prayer and support so please put us on your calendars to pray.

(2) Still working on the many layers that is Medicaid. I need wisdom, peace and stamina.

(3) For his hamstrings to lengthen on their own. He still doesn’t have his supports to help (due to red tape and insurance nonsense) with this and time is running out. Pls pray for miraculous intervention.

Thank you for walking with us.
