Zeke's Journey
I wanted to share this picture with you b/c it struck me that these little open hands are an answer to prayer. When he was just a year old, his team at the time wanted to put him in hand splints. We got him fitted and the insurance covered them, but I could never bring myself to putting them on him.
Instead, I asked the therapists what I could do to support a natural opening of his littled fisted hands. They told me. I did it. Every. single. day. And as I did it, I prayed that this would work so he would not have to have hand splints.
So these little hands are an answered yes from the Lord. Look how beautiful they are. Spread wide, relaxed and sweet.
It reminds me how important prayer is and I wanted to ask for some specifics.
(1) We are still waiting to hear about the outcome from the fair hearing. Please pray that it is in our favor.
(2) Insurance is fighting us about the safe sleep bed we submitted for. Please pray that they will accept the paperwork and move forward so Zeke can have a safe bed. And a bed that won't break my and Jon's body anymore!
(3) Please pray for my body. I can feel every lb of Zeke's little 33lb frame. My body hurts y'all. And yes, I do work out. And no, it is not like picking up a kettlebell. Please pray that I can utilize proper body mechanics daily and that God will just grant me the strength of Samson.
Thank you for your prayers. And on an extra fun note - Zane just met a huge swim goal today! We are so excited for him.
