Zeke's Journey
This has been a full 2 weeks for us.
Zane was able to get FLAGs qualifying times (this is a huge championship meet for kids under 14) for 6 events - the 200 IM, 50 &100 fly, 50 & 100 breast and 100 back. We are so proud of him. Zeke was especially happy b/c he got to attend the meet and watch his brother for 2 of the 3 days! He was thrilled to cheer on big brother and he did a great job with all of the activity.
This week, Zeke also received a new floatation device so he can safely participate in family swim time. I am extremely grateful for Chase Warrior Foundation that funded this device through their generous grant. It was really fun to watch Zeke move independently in the water when we got him into it. He is learning that turning his head helps him turn his body, and that when he kicks his feet and moves his arms, he can move around the pool. It's exciting to see him have a little freedom of movement and I am hopeful that this will help him coordinate his brain and arms while he is having fun.
This is one of those weeks that we are filled with gratitude to the Lord for His provision, joy and fun.
