Zeke's Journey
So much to update!
First, we are praising God bc He provided an IV infusion company here in the area that would do Zeke’s infusions of fluid. Hopefully, this will keep us out of the ER.
Secondly, we begin Ability on Monday! I can’t believe it is here already. You know I like to update almost daily when we are at Ability so buckle up. I’ve mentioned it before but the hardest part of the commuting is how emotionally and physically exhausting it is - I definitely have zero capacity at the end of each day.
Many have asked how to help - this is a BIG way to help us. Meals. Please check the meal sign up if this is a way you can help. I know we are tricky bc we are gluten free, but even meat and veggies can be enjoyed! We don’t have to have carbs if that is stressful.
Another way is gas cards or door dash gift cards. These have been helpful in the past and really eased the load.
Finally, we were sad to hear that our insurance denied the safe sleep bed for Zeke. This is really upsetting and now we are in limbo until we can find another avenue. I’m looking into grants and trying to determine what is happening with Zeke’s Medicaid.
Please pray:
(1) For Tally and Zeke to bond instantly and for Zeke to make MASSIVE jumps this intensive.
(2) For Dr. A to have some epiphany of what neurological exercise will release the spasticity in Zeke’s hamstrings fully. So his hamstrings can experience healthy muscular tone - not tight and not loose.
(3) For God to provide for us emotionally, physically and mentally during this time.
(4) For Medicaid to come through and pay for the intensive and the bed.
