Help Back Into Stable Housing & Normal Life
Help Back Into Stable Housing & Normal Life
Hello, I am Paul, and I humbly ask for your help after a violent domestic incident turned my life upside down and left me homeless. My roommate, who was in a mental health crisis and had stopped taking prescribed medication, threatened me with a knife in our home. I called 911 after defending myself, and emergency services removed him from the apartment. As traumatic as that experience was, the aftermath created another crisis: I depended on my roommate’s share of the rent, and without it I could not cover the full payment on my own. I was evicted and lost my rental deposit, all after already using my small savings to move to California for work.
Right now, I am trying to raise enough for a new deposit and one month of rent so I can get back into stable housing and return to work as a remote web developer and technical support representative. In the temporary shelter conditions I’m in now, I cannot work effectively or rebuild. With housing, I expect to get back on my feet quickly, earn enough to cover my ongoing expenses, and move forward independently again. I don’t want to stay stuck in survival mode or remain in a situation that keeps me from being productive.

I hate having to ask for help, but my current plight and the humbling effect of everything I’ve been through have brought me to the point of realizing that I cannot return to normal living without asking for help. I now humbly ask for your help and support. Any contribution or share means the world to me. Thank you for standing with me. Life

In the temporary shelter conditions I’m in now, I cannot work effectively due to the distractible drama inherent where I am temporarily sheltered, planes overhead every 3 minutes, etc.
