Help with Lost Wages

I had planned to work summer school to help meet the salary deficit from only having 0.5 FTE salary as a SPED teacher. Summer school wages would have provided upwards of $6000, but due to surgery needing to happen in the middle, I'm unable to work any part of it. I am asking for help making back $3500, which is less than I would have made, but the bare minimum to make bills.
