Wheels for James
Both Jenna and I walked through something no parent ever wants to face — our boys survived near drownings just months apart. That shared experience connected us in a way that’s hard to put into words. We don’t get to see each other often, but every time we do, it means something.
So you might wonder why I was so persistent about helping Jenna fund this van — especially since she never asked me to. It’s because I know firsthand what it feels like to want your family together, traveling safely, holding onto some sense of normalcy. To want to say yes to what your child needs in recovery… without having to weigh that against a massive car payment and the reality of how expensive these wheelchair-accessible vans (and their insurance) really are.
This is something that changes day-to-day life in a very real way — and it’s why I care so deeply about helping them get there.
Right now, we’re just over 20% of the goal. The next step forward is going to come from more people simply seeing this and choosing to be part of it.
If you’re wondering how to help, here are two meaningful ways:
• Share this page with a handful of people who would care
• Or consider a small, monthly recurring donation — those truly add up

Every share, every bit of support helps move this forward.
No matter what, I’m incredibly grateful. For Jenna and her family, for the way they show up with encouragement and strength. For each of you who continue to care, to pray, and to support families like this. And for a space where people can come together and carry each other through moments like these.
This photo was taken when James and Wyatt were together at an event hosted by Live Like Jake Foundation — an incredible organization that supports families like ours and works to prevent more drownings by providing ISR lessons. Moments like this matter… and with the right support, there will be many more of them. 💛
