Mother's Day surprise...

Today, Mother's Day, we read Proverbs 31 in church.  I was already emotional, so you can imagine what that did to me/Lacey!  If you aren't familiar, Google it - it's worth it...in particular verses 25-31.  This is a passage that Mom/Kelsey, Ellie, and I/Lacey have shared with each other over the years in various forms...word art, tattoos, etc., and for various occassions...celebrations, funerals, etc..

Proverbs 31:25 "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."  We may not exactly be laughing at the journey ahead, but we are smiling a little more with the help of a new furry friend.

Before Mom/Kelsey ever even went into the hospital, she was texting Ellie and me/Lacey photos of kittens that a family friend's cat had recently.  She has continued to keep us updated on the kittens over the last few weeks.  With that, Ellie and I/Lacey decided to reach out to see if one of the kittens might be able to find a new home with our parents.  Now, instead of screenshots of Facebook posts, we are getting realtime updates of kitten "Dan"...his meows, purrs, poops, and tiny claws!  We are so grateful for this little blue-eyed ray of sunshine!
