Wayne & Kelsey Ritscher
I have a plan for a very quick and easy way for you show your love and support. The thing is, Mom/Kelsey often reads these updates and I kind of want it to be a surprise. :) With that, if you have interest in something that I promise will be very quick, easy, and cheap, shoot me (Lacey) a text and I will reply to you with the details. 319.213.1714
As far as an update goes, Mom/Kelsey is doing okay. She and Dad/Wayne have welcomed some visitors, which has been awesome, and they even made a couple of trips to the Iowa State Fair to listen to live music/concerts.
The chemo continues to plague mom/Kelsey with a decreased appetite and some GI issues. She and Dad/Wayne are working hard to get her the nutrition she needs to stay as strong as possible.
Overall, she’s been pretty quiet – all around, whether it be social media, text, phone, or conversation. It’s hard to tell if that’s due to the tumor(s) or because what she’s going through is so rough…likely, it’s probably a bit of both. Just know that she reads your messages and texts, even if you don’t get a response. So does Dad/Wayne.
And in honor of going back to school for many, I will share a verse we talked about with our kids this weekend when they mentioned their nerves about going to school. “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3. He is always just a prayer away…
