Urgent Prayer Request/ Petición urgente de oración

We have some encouraging things to share, but we also have an urgent prayer request for Trish this morning.

Trish is continuing to make progress in some really encouraging ways. She is still getting up, walking, sitting up, and talking, and her chest tube has now been removed, which is a great step toward healing.

However, we have learned that her new stomach is not properly moving food and liquid through the passage and into her intestinal tract like it needs to. Because of this, she will be having an endoscopic procedure this morning at 9:30am to try to correct the issue.

During the procedure, the doctors will use an endoscope to go down into her stomach. They will then inflate a small balloon in the narrowed area to help stretch and widen the passage. They will also inject Botox into the muscle in that area to help it relax and open, with the goal of allowing food and liquid to pass through more normally.

We are asking for very specific prayers over this procedure. Please pray that the doctors are able to successfully open the passage and that her stomach begins functioning properly. Most importantly, please pray that nothing about this procedure compromises the major surgery she just went through or the connection they created between her esophagus and stomach. Pray for wisdom for her doctors, steady hands, no complications, and for her body to respond exactly as it needs to.

Please also pray for sleep, both for Trish and Bo. They have both been having such a difficult time getting deep, restorative sleep, and they are both extremely exhausted. Pray that the Lord would give them deep rest and renew their strength.

Trish’s sister, Laura is now here. I will be setting up a meal train for when Trish and Bo are finally able to come home.

Please pray especially at 9:30 this morning. We are trusting the Lord with this procedure and asking Him to go before Trish, guide her doctors, protect her body, and continue to bring healing.

Oren por sabiduría para sus médicos, manos firmes, que no haya complicaciones y que su cuerpo responda exactamente como necesita hacerlo.

Por favor, oren también por el sueño, tanto para Trish como para Bo. Ambos han estado teniendo muchas dificultades para dormir profundamente y descansar de manera reparadora, y están sumamente agotados. Oren para que el Señor les conceda un descanso profundo y renueve sus fuerzas.

La hermana de Trish, Laura, ya está aquí. Voy a organizar una cadena de comidas para cuando Trish y Bo finalmente puedan regresar a casa.

I’ll be praying for Patty. She is a very special friend to me, and I care about her deeply. I’m asking God to guide the doctors, give them wisdom and steady hands, protect her from any complications, and give her body strength to respond well to the procedure. Good morning; Praying this next procedure goes successfully for Trish; happy to hear that she is progressing well please give her my love and hug. Hugs. I am not sure about what is allowed for Trish to help with her sleep issues, but I can certainly help BO with that with what I use. It’s all natural melatonin with natural herbs, which I buy on Amazon. I can definitely give you the link if you want to private message me.
