It’s my 44th birthday today. What a wild ride these past three weeks have been. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be diagnosed with stage 4 MBC in my 40’s. I feel sad, scared and so incredibly overwhelmed, and I definitely do not feel like celebrating. But I know I should celebrate today because I cannot and will not let this diagnoses steal my joy.  It’s hard to imagine the next 12 months and how I will feel on my 45th birthday. How much my world will change in such a short amount of time. 
Happy 44th Birthday to me. Joy always wins, and if joy has not yet come, it is not the end. 💗
