Well… it’s official.

My hair is falling out.

I know it’s “just hair.” I know it will grow back. I know this is part of the process and means the chemo is doing what it’s supposed to do. I can know all of those things and still be really sad about it.

I was not prepared for how much hair I would lose so quickly. Losing my hair is one of the first things that makes this journey visible to everyone else. I can no longer hide that I have cancer.

That said… I did buy three really cute wigs. The funny part? Not one of them looks anything like my real hair. Apparently, if I’m going to lose my hair, I’m going to take the opportunity to try on a few new personalities. Blonde? Longer than I’ve had in years? Bangs?  Why not!

So if you see me looking a little different from one day to the next, just know I’m keeping everyone guessing. 🤗

Hair or no hair… I’m still me, and I’m still fighting!

💗💗💗

Wigs are great. I know you’re still the same tough niece.
