Today we went to UAB for Tim's first MRI since surgery and follow up appointment. Wonderful news, there is no sign of recurrence, just a little scar tissue! Praise God!! Usually he has MRIs every two months but Dr. Nabors is pushing it out to three months. And he gave Tim clearance to start driving again. Afterwards we celebrated with another Blizzard (Reese's and Heath bar for those who have asked).
Tim has continued to go to speech therapy but has reduced his weekly sessions from two to one. We are so grateful to the Lord for the progress that Tim has made and in the record time - 10 weeks.
Several weeks ago we had our reoccurring dinner with special friends, the Eppersons. We are in an exclusive club and we don't want any new members. It's the glioblastoma (or wives of) club. Tim has now surpassed the life expectancy of a glio diagnosis and in mid March Larry celebrated three years since his resection. What a joy to have such sweet friends who have held our hands and walked this walk with us.
The third picture is what Tim did when we got home from Birmingham. Y'all please pray for me. And while you are praying would you please pray that the Lord would continue to improve Tim's speech and to keep his brain clear of any recurrences. We are so thankful to the Lord for all He has done and continues to do. Psalm 71:8 My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day.
