Johnny's Seventh Week

Seven week update - Tonight makes 50 days in the NICU for our sweet strong little Johnny

Johnny has had a great past week! He is officially a 5 pound baby! He’s done so good with bottle feedings they were able to remove his feeding tube! And he had a second eye exam where everything looked great! 

He’s getting so close to be able to go home with mom and dad and meet his big (dog) sister Cali Clover (she’s so excited to meet him.) His oxygen support is his last main goal to come home. He’s currently on the lowest setting. His NICU team have continued to do room air trials however he is still having a bit of trouble breathing on his own as his lungs are still small and developing. We are hopeful that with a little more time and growth he is able to come off oxygen support in the coming days to weeks. 

Prayers and healing for him to overcome this last milestone and for us to have him home in our arms soon. As always we are forever grateful for the continued love, support and prayers. 

Side note - it’s been so sweet watching his little eyelashes grow in. He’s just the cutest!
