Hello Friends,
Elly's sister, Suzanne, here! I wanted to reach out with a couple of ideas for how we can encourage Elly as she begins Chemo soon. If you haven't seen her last update, please read for full details but the gist is she will be receiving the more intense chemo starting 7/8 with the first part as 1/week every other week for 8 weeks followed by the second part 1/week every week for 12 weeks. That's 20 HARD weeks of 7+ hour long days and while she is a WARRIOR, fiercely fighting this battle with her heart committed to faith in God's grace to carry her... it's still scary.
So, how can we help her get through it? Let's overwhelm her with LOVE LETTERS! I'm inviting you to send her cards, letters or emails in my care with encouraging words, bible verses, poems, and of course, silly things to make her smile! I will gather what I receive each week to send with her to look at while she sits through chemo treatments. If you would like to participate, please send to me either by mail to:
Suzanne Stanford for Elly
2529 80th St
Kenosha, WI 53143
Or I created a special email and I will print for her:
EllysWarriors@gmail.com
It would be great to have something to send with her throughout the 20 weeks so thanks in advance for your help in trying to bring a bit of sweetness to Elly during this difficult part of her journey.
Another fantastic way to show your love is to take pictures in your Elly's Warriors gear and post on socials with tagging her or email to me at ellyswarriors@gmail.com. Haven't ordered yours yet? You still can! And $5 from each item is donated to Elly! Here is the link: https://theletteringmachine.com/ellys_warriors/shop/home
If you want to do something more tangible, Elly has a wishlist of items that will make life a little easier and bring her joy. You can see these items here:

Once again, our family is SO grateful for all of the supportive help received so far. Going through this challenging season is made a little bit less stressful by your generous time and effort. We pray you are blessed abundantly.
With much love,
Suzanne (Elly's sister)
