Hello Everyone! I wanted to share some great news. So, my husband who was completely unconcious for a full week, is trying so hard to get back on his feet again.

Monday, day one, we had him working on staying focused on things, and he was working on breathing on his own and doing breathing treatments.

Yesterday, day two, the speech therapists and respiratory therapists cleared him to eat again and he is drinking some water. The main worry right now is that his vocal chords are frozen still, and he can't detect if he's swallowing or if he's breathing in something. I am hoping that they let him eat more food soon, and drink more water. He is very thirsty, but, we also don't want him having any other problems with his lungs.

Today the Cardio PT guys came in, and he is going to work on balance and coordination. He's incredibly unsteady, and getting on his feet has been tough. This is progress though! He still is in ICU, but he's moving along.

Please also pray for me, I have to work on reorganizing our house, and doing the clean up because I'll be honest I was more focused on being at the hospital for the last two weeks than the chores as diligently as I wanted to. I am grateful that my wonderful mother-in-law is there at his side at the hospital helping to cheer him on today while I overhaul my husband's mancave aka our garage, and then I hope I can get my living room, and kitchen back to a semblance of normalcy. I don't expect any of this will be easy, but we do this one step at a time. I came in to update you because it's a hot day, and I think you all needed to hear some good news with your day!

God is good, he's merciful, he's kind, and he is a joyful God. He's brought us through something very hard, and we still are walking with him, and I have all of you to thank for your prayer and help!
- Mary
