We made it to Houston 🙏🏽

Friday was a big day! After hours spent talking with insurance, housing, transportation teams, case managers, and various doctors, we finally made it! Oakley was thrilled for a new adventure and was able to go by private jet! We made it safely and are now adjusting to another new “normal”. Oakley is currently in the ICU until they get to know her better and we are hoping she will move to the step down unit later today. She is now status 7 (paused on the transplant list) until she is evaluated once again here at Texas Children’s. She will have an entire new work up with all new blood work, imaging, echos, CT of her heart, and a possible heart cath. They said this can take a week to get everything they need to then present her to the transplant team here and decide whether they are going to list her for transplant here in Houston. Please Lord let all of this go as smoothly as possible and get her listed 1A again and back on the transplant list so she can live a beautiful life as soon as possible! Moving hospitals it a huge adjustment and comes with a lot of stress so I truly appreciate all your kind words, prayers, and support. I am believing in my heart that God has made this transfer possible because it is truly what is best for her. 🙏🏽❤️ One step in front of the other… He will carry us. Thank YOU for your continuous love for Oakley and never forget that every single day is a blessing (something I need to remind myself of often as well) ✨
