Wilder’s been home now a combine total of 15 days and counting. It will be amazing when we can say he’s spent more of his life at home than in the hospital. The transition home felt a little smoother as we had the organizational  system and somewhat of a routine figured out. We are thankful for the continued support of family and all those providing meals during this time.

Wilder definitely regressed in his bottle eating skills while off feeds. It took most of the week for him to take more than a few sips from a bottle without falling asleep. We are just trying to be patient and make every experience with eating by mouth positive. It will pay off in the long run!

He did gain more muscle strength in his neck over the time in the hospital as we were able to work on his pt and ot exercises. He is doing so well with tolerating tummy time and will lift his head up to look at things for a couple seconds. He will always lift or turn his head to look at his dad.

These next couple weeks are going to be very busy as we see all the different specialists we need to follow up with after our long hospital stays. Getting out of the house with a tube fed baby and an exclusively pumping mom is no small feat. So prayers for that would be appreciated. We thank you for your continued prayers for Wilder’s health. Our biggest prayer request is for his body to grow strong and healthy and his heart to continue to function well. We also ask for prayers for us (his parents) as we care for him. For strength, energy, and wisdom as we navigate all of his medical care.

Praising God for 15 days home with our sweet baby.
