Wilder’s Progress (6/10/26)

Wilder made a big step today! He got to wear his first outfit and he is no longer a PICU patient. He is now considered a cardiology care patient. The cardiology team will monitor him until he’s ready to go home. He needs to get to full feeds. Today he started taking 60 mls and if all goes well he will be at 80 mls by Friday. Then they will monitor him over the weekend. If he behaves and everything goes perfectly, there is potential for him to come home as soon as Monday. They are starting to train us on his care just in case he can come home Monday. This was an amazing surprise! We were originally told he needed to be at 50% feeds. His team is entrusting us with his care due to them feeling we have the capacity to care for him and that we have the ability to bring him to all the necessary appointments and therapies. We are hopeful, but also trusting that God has a perfect time for him to come home. 

Please pray for Wilder for continued steps forward, for things to go smoothly over the next few days, and for no new complications. Pray that he would come home at the perfect time!
