The Veek Family
Wilder continues to take small steps forward each day. Today they were able to stop his pacing wires and his heart has been maintaining a stable heartbeat on its own. Which is great news! The pacing wires will stay in for a bit longer while he proves that he can maintain his own heart rate. If all goes well they will remove his remaining lines on Friday. He is at full feeds through NG tube and so far that seems to be going well. There is some concern over an increase in fluid coming out of his remaining chest tube. We are so thankful that we get to hold him more frequently now and the snuggles are healing for all of us.
Prayer requests
-That the output from his chest tube would decrease so they don't have to change his feeds.
-For his heart to continue maintaining a steady heartrate on its own
-That he continues to wean off of IV medications and the oxygen support he is on.
-For strength for Jesse and I. For Jesse while he commutes between the farm and the hospital and for Amy during the long days at the hospital.
