This morning, Asa woke up at 4:15am throwing up and with a fever. We called the doctor and we were instructed to immediately take him to the hospital. We packed him up and Austin drove him there. After running some tests, they determined he has parainfluenza. It is like a mild flu, but can be pretty serious for someone with a compromised immune system. He was admitted to the hospital and he will be here for at least 24 hours.
He is currently on an antibacterial med and also on oxygen because there’s some tugging at his sternum due to heavy breathing. They did an x-ray and ruled out pneumonia. He is pretty bummed about being in the hospital again but perked up quite a bit when his siblings all came for a visit this afternoon. :)
