"Go Back" Day

Today is the day that Asa gets admitted to the hospital for the 3rd round of the Consolidation phase. Knowing what was coming he was very reluctant to get out of bed, crying because he didn't want to go back. Once he got up and going, his attitude improved. We beat the morning traffic and made it in good time to the hospital by 8am to get him checked in at the clinic. From there they ran some labs and determined his levels were good to start treatment today and they got him admitted and up to his room for the next few weeks.

On Friday he will be getting a chemo med that there is a significant chance he will have an allergic reaction to. Please pray with us that he will not have a negative reaction to this one!

Overall Asa seems to have a good attitude about having to be here. He's been smiley and talkative with the nurses and staff. He's looking forward to being able to get out of his room tomorrow to walk around the hospital. We are grateful for his care team and the facility here, and the great care they provide. We are also so grateful for our family's care team–those helping us with day-to-day life, blessing us beyond measure. Thank you!

We continue to lift you and your family in prayer. We were so glad to see pix of Asa enjoying his family when he was out of the hospital- hopefully he will be able to remember those happy times when times are rough. I look forward to seeing him play on the other side of this, but know today is what you all are dealing with now.
