Asa Needs Blood, BLINA Delayed

Today was going to be the day that Asa would get hooked up to the immunotherapy backpack (BLINA), but when they ran his labs, his blood count was too low. So the plan has shifted to Asa receiving a blood transfusion today and going home this evening. Next week he will receive more blood on Tuesday, then be admitted either Wednesday or Thursday of next week to start BLINA. We are ok with this plan knowing God is in control and is keeping Asa securely in His hands.

"People make plans for what they will do, but it is the Lord who leads them in the right way." Proverbs 16:9

Asa the Brave - When Austin took Asa to the hospital today, we forgot to put numbing cream on his port. He insisted that they not do the cold spray and took the needle without any aid! No tears at all. The nurses said they were so impressed and that they can only think of one other kid at the hospital that can do no spray or cream for port access.
