Asa finally had the ultrasound done on his leg Monday morning and it revealed nothing going on. On Monday his leg pain and swelling lessened and he was able to get up to walk around some and he was in a much better mood. It was good to see him smiling and telling jokes again! He still favors his leg and is having some degree of pain, but not like it was. Thank you all for praying!

After talking with the doctors yesterday, they told us Asa’s numbers are where they need to be to begin the next round of treatment. During the time he was having leg pain, fever, and being treated with antibiotics and couldn't go home, his numbers jumped so much that the doctors were concerned that if we wait too long to start the next phase of consolidation the leukemia cells would start to regrow.

Austin and I talked and weighed out all our options and today Asa starts his next 3-4 week stretch in the hospital without going home. This afternoon he will have a lumbar puncture and then begin chemo treatments again.

Good and not so good news - I hate that he can’t come home but glad that he can move forward - continuing to pray for less pain and easy procedures and that his numbers would continue to improve- praying for each of you in the family too that yall would know God’s peace and comfort through every phase and that He would supply you with His strength and stamina as you move forward knowing God has yall in the palm of His hand!

Glad there was nothing showing on the ultra sound and that Asa is able to get up and move around some. Continuing to pray as he begins the next round and that the procedures will go smoothly with no complications. Also that his body would be receptive to the chemo. Sad that you are not able to go home but thankful he is where he need to be to move forward. continuing to lift up you and Austin as well as the rest of the family for God to give you strength, peace and clarity during this time.

Always praying for you guys! Prayers answered regarding the pain in his leg and no other issues there. I do hate that he will not get to go home before the next 3-4 weeks of treatment. Praying all goes well and that you and Austin would have strength and peace beyond measure! Love you all!

Praying as Asa begins the next round of treatments, that he will be able to tolerate the treatment and that it will continue to kill the leukemia cells. We’re also praying for the entire family as you support Asa while he’s in the hospital. We’re trusting God, who knows, loves, and leads, to get you guys through this!

Praying for Asa's healing and for God's strength, love, and provision for your entire family. I can't imagine how tiring and overwhelming this all must be, but I also know God has you in his arms and is walking with you through the storm. Keep your eyes fixed on Him.

I pray for Asa and you every day. Such difficult days binds you closer and closer to the Lord. Can’t understand the “why” of any of this…but we know our God is faithful.
