Coincidence that September is NICU Awareness Month, Deaf Awareness Month, and it is also less than one week until Liam joins us 💙 It's almost like this month was meant for him to help heal our trauma and make our family that much better.
A lot of people have asked if we're ready and excited, but in all honesty, I have mixed emotions...
Yes, I am so excited to meet our little guy and welcome the first grandson to the fam. Hope he is ready for all of the makeovers, nail painting, and dress ups with his sister and cousins. 

Yes, I am excited to get to have a ~normal~ birth experience, but also terrified of the 'what ifs.' Everything was supposed to be so normal last time, until it wasn't. I can't wait to experience holding him immediately, without wires, and without the fear of hurting him.

Yes, I am so excited that Kat gets a little sibling to forever love, pick on, and learn with, but also feeling sad that he will meet milestones that she is still working so hard to accomplish (& I know that she can and will accomplish, never met such a hard working little gal).

Yes, I am ready for those newborn snuggles again! And am cherishing the undivided time I have had with my bestie girl. 

NICU life was an experience that put us through the ringer, but it is making us that much more grateful and ready for a healing newborn experience this time around. 

We can't wait for Liam to get here! And as always, we are so grateful for all of the support and kindness as we grow our family!
