October 13, 2026 Update

This week, we made progress with ditches but faced setbacks when the septic collapsed.

On September 1, 2026, our family lost our home and almost our lives in a terrible house fire in Bent Mountain, Virginia. Now, we are working hard to find safe and stable temporary living arrangements. We have insurance, but they are slow to help. We need help with water, septic, and temporary housing costs. We also need basics like clothes and household items.

Winter is coming fast, and we need warm clothes and to prepare our property for the cold. It’s hard to balance all this with our full-time jobs. Right now, we are feeling rushed and exhausted.
