CT results

Last Friday, Andrew got his first CT scan since he’s been on the study. The results came in today. Here are the high-level findings:

1. Since 1/6/2025, some liver tumors look the same, but others have grown, some significantly. There are new liver tumors present.
2. The tumor on the head of the pancreas is slightly bigger.
3. There’s a new swollen lymph node that’s suspicious for metastases.
4. There are new spots on his lungs, also suspicious for metastases.

Tomorrow we will be at Sloan for what was meant to be a checkin about the trial and Andrew’s prognosis, given this doctor’s familiarity with other patients’ positive responses to the immunotherapy Andrew was getting. We will now focus on her recommended course of treatment, which will include a decision of whether to resume the old chemo or a new one. We have not talked to Andrew’s NYU oncologist but will likely see him Friday.

We are beyond devastated at this news and very worried about what this means for the future.

I am so sorry. Hugging you both so hard. These are definitely not stats you want to see, but hoping the doctor's appointment tomorrow gives some hope towards switching gears and coming up with a better, more effective plan.

Praying God will show us all how to stay strong during these tough times and discouraging reports. I know it is a real struggle. I feel that, too.
But, God is a God of miracles and there is always hope in the darkest of times. We must never, ever give up hope.
I love y’all sooooo much.

My prayer for you today is psalms 23. I also pray that the mercy of God meets you exactly where you are. God's grace is sufficient for you and his strength is made perfect in your weakness. God is within you. Sending you love and prayer.

There are no words for what you guys are going through. I know this is another blow but if I can encourage you with anything, it is this. The God we know is powerful beyond our intellect. He is mightier than we can comprehend and yet He is compassionate to our wounds and our hurts and our fears. In this moment and every one in the future He is able to do the miraculous. Psalm 91 tell us that in the secret place we can find refuge, protection and strength. That secret place is the place that is only you and God and it’s the place where we pour our hearts out to Him. In that place, rest comes to our spirit because we know God sees that we need Him immensely. I love you both and I’m and praying for you everyday. I know this fight is long and much harder than can be imagined, but know we love you and we are standing with you in prayer.
