Abigail met her teacher yesterday and got to briefly walk around the school. We know she's going to do well because she has a wonderful teacher, and she loves learning and interacting with other kids. After we left the school, we went to Walmart to pick up school supplies for both kids. They are both excited and looking forward to starting school.

Earlier today, I spoke with Abigail's surgeon, and he is ready to perform her surgery. We have to be at the hospital at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, and surgery is expected to begin around 7:30 a.m. She will be the only surgery scheduled that day because it is such a long and complex procedure. After surgery, she will spend a few days recovering in the PICU.

Devin's and my biggest prayer is that this will be the surgery that allows Abigail to have her trach removed, eat more by mouth, and speak more clearly. If this surgery isn't successful, there won't be any additional surgical options until she's in her teen years.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to pray for Abigail and our family. Your love, support, and prayers mean more than we can put into words.

4 days until we head back to our second home.

We pray everyday for Abigail as well as you both. This surgery we know is very critical and that God hears these prayers. She is in HIS hands. God bless and know you are always steadfast in our prayers and thoughts for all of you. Please be safe.🙏🏼♥️
