The Sernovitz Family
It’s been over a week since I got home which seems crazy that it’s been both so short compared to how long I was away vs how settled I feel and how much we’ve done already.
First, the private jet was lovely! Door to door travel time was about 4 hours, there were 4 people total on the plane and we flew into the Cobb county airport, avoiding ATL entirely.
It’s been hard sometimes to adjust to being in-person Mom and simply the energy it takes to live in a house vs a 2 room apartment, but I’m trying to give myself grace and Larry and the kids have been wonderful in asking what I need and understanding when I’m tired. It’s hard to miss social gatherings so I’m eagerly awaiting warmer weather and cold/flu season being over so that my risk of getting sick lessens. Luckily I got home in time to see Daniella in our high school’s musical last weekend! (Go D, she’s only in 8th grade)
I just did a virtual appointment with my doctor at Emory and he’s very pleased with my labs, medications and plan of basically watching my numbers and expecting nothing interesting. He said that I am at a very low risk for relapse, lower than most, which was the best news I’ve heard all week!
I hope everyone is staying warm, safe and healthy!
