Becky has generally been tolerating this last round of consolidation chemo that she got in Texas two weeks ago and came back to Atlanta last weekend. Unfortunately as can happen when cell counts drop, Becky spiked a fever last Wednesday and has been at Emory main campus since then. It spiked again this afternoon so the timing is unclear on when she’ll get out. Since she’s already been on at antibiotics since Wednesday they’ll have to figure out what caused this new spike and still limit visitors. But real food drop offs directly to her room are welcome as the hospital food has gotten old rather quickly and she doesn’t trust that uber eats/ door dash deliveries make it up to her floor (some sad switches of food occurred back in the spring)!
The current tentative plan is that she and her dad will fly out to Houston Sunday the 24th and start pre-transplant activities the next day, testing first then chemo. She hopes to have final details this week. Thankfully housing at the Chabad/Aishel House has been confirmed!
As always we thank you for your love and support. Stay tuned for next steps! It’s the big one!
