Today Mila gets the hardware removed from her hips this afternoon! In October of 2023 Mila had bilateral VDRO surgery to correct double hip dysplasia. Her bones healed beautifully and she was recently cleared to have the hardware removed. 

We are hoping this will allow her some more flexibility and to be more comfortable in her body. Giant plates and chunks of metal I’m sure don’t feel great. 

Please keep our girl in your thoughts as she goes in for this surgery. She is in wonderful spirits today and we are so amazed at her resilience. But children going under anesthesia is never fun and always scary for us parents. 🤍
