What a whirlwind the past few days have been. Well, really the past few months. Walking from the PICU where Rocky is to meet Brock in the lobby of the ER with Braxton the other night felt like an all time low.

After a long time spent in the ER with Braxton running tests we discovered that he does have a slight pneumonia which would explain the increase in seizures and need for oxygen. We decided to treat him at home the next few days and if he doesn't improve, we will bring him back in. We feel like he's really improving already at home, so grateful. 

Rocky's still in the PICU and on Bipap. We've been tinkering with his seizure medications and doing around the clock respiratory treatments. He is on day 4 of the antibiotic and he seems to be improving in the right direction. I even got a few smiles and got to hold him this morning, which made my mama heart so happy. 

We will most likely be here at least another couple of days. We will continue to update as we go. We are praying for continued improvement for both boys, but especially for Rocky. 

We were supposed to be back in the PNW with family for the 4th of July during this time which is a bit sad, but we are making the most of it with finding joy in the smallest things. This journey with the boys has really taught us to press into the little joys that often wouldn’t feel like much but they do right now. Yesterday, it was seeing Rocky smile and watching the fireworks from the hospital room together last night. 

Everyone's texts, calls, notes, meals, coffee money and prayers mean the world and truly have sustained us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We keep saying how thankful we are for such an amazing community that is both near and far.
