We made it home after almost 3 weeks in the Pediatric ICU. We all woke up under one roof this morning for the first time in all too long.

This hospital stay was up and down, but our little “Rockstar” kept fighting and we’re so grateful to all be together as a family. Rocky gained a new following of “fans” during his PICU stay. He continues to make such an incredible impact with his life.

We are home with a lot more additions to our “mini hospital” to keep the boys (especially Rocky) safe & comfy at home. 

For those that don’t know, we added him onto Hospice back in early June shortly after our last hospital stay. Hospice means a lot of different things, but for us the decision was made so that we can do our best to keep him comfortable at home and out of the hospital as much as we can. Being in the hospital is so difficult with Braxton at home and Rocky admitted that we felt like this decision was what is best for not just Rocky, but Braxton too. 

We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your meals, encouraging words, prayers and love. It’s been so amazing to see our community both near and far rally behind us. We couldn’t have done it without each of you.  Please continue to pray as we transition him home that he would stay healthy, continue to heal and improve. The fight will continue as we navigate Bipap, Cough Assist, CPT Vest and other additions to our new routine.
