There are so many emotions that we have been experiencing as a family and as individuals. All of them good because they have helped us reconnect to our strength and we’ve also discover areas within ourselves that we need to work on and heal. But there is one feeling that has been constant throughout this trial, GRATITUDE!

We are grateful for every message, phone call, hug, donation, meal, delicious desserts (Kelly 😋), for every prayer, for reaching out to your resources so they can help  us.

We are grateful to the Chabad community who came and did all the hard work of cleaning up. They didn’t complain about the heat, the smell, the mess, the load of work that had to be done. They came with a smile and left with a smile. People who barely knew us, some that didn’t know us at all but came, stay for hours, got dirty, and helped us tremendously.
We saw the hand of the Creator once again and reminded us that we were not alone.

We are grateful for our family, for all the support, for every meal they cooked for us, for blessing us with donations. To my father and mother-in-law who up to this day are taking care of our Toby boy and who have covered us with their prayers.

We are grateful for our friends. To the Chay family who have been with us during so many stages of our lives, Thank you! Thank you for teaching your children the power of
giving. Thank you to Bingo and Bluey for coming to help clean up and for not letting the disgustingness of the aftermath get to you. To the Cadan family that without thinking about it twice took us in and gave us shelter, embraced us, power-washed our entire backyard so we can have at least one nice place in our house to look at and be in, for helping me put my thoughts in order. To Julie for setting up a meal train for us and for her husband who came in and put himself to work on a very hot day. To Melissa, to mi Lulu for listening to my heart cry and for lifting me up. To Courtney, Melinda, Aimee who have been checking in on us ever since while they still have life going on like everyone else. To the new friends we made, to our neighbors, to our Rabbi here and in Israel for teaching us how to trust HaShem in every situation and for lifting us up.

We are grateful for the Burr, Tomlinson, Burn community. Thank you for creating such a love movement. It is definitely overwhelming! We have never experienced anything like it.

We thank Haddie’s medical team for providing help to get her medical supplies; Mandy, Therese, Sue, Dr Jenny. Thank you for truly caring about your patients.

But MOST IMPORTANTLY, we have and need to acknowledged and give ALL THE THANKS to the ONE that made all this possible; from the flooding, the discomfort, the pain, as well as the comfort, the peace, the strength and the people (all of you) who came together to our aid. We thank HASHEM, the ONE AND TRUE GOD. Our MAKER! Thank you ABBA for not leaving us, for teaching us and for comforting us during this trial. We don’t understand it yet, we can’t see the whole picture but YOU who knows the beginning, knows how all of this is going to end as well. Our trust is in YOU!

We still have a long recovery journey ahead of us but we TRUST in the ONE who guides our steps and we know that G-D doesn’t give us more than what we can handle and like our Rabbi said, HE also doesn’t give less!

We pray God gives you all so much more of what you’ve giving us. We pray for health, for wisdom, for protection, for peace and for you to see many miracles. Remember that trials are not meant to destroy you or destabilize you, but to bring you closer to your purpose.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
