From Andy: It has been a very challenging. Even with hospice care and medicine Tiffanys chorea is severe (violent flailing and writhing movements) and exacerbated under stress and fatigue.
She has also experienced some neuro cognitive changes and confusion (new) relative to medicine changes and the advanced stages of HD. She still wants to walk, but she is an extreme fall risk and has to be supported at ALL times. She has suffered a few bad falls.
Andy is strictly monitoring her medication regimen to manage symptoms/comfort.
All of this is heartbreaking and traumatic, especially for the kids to witness.
Andy has said that personally he has never experienced grief and anguish this intense. But I can't fail as a husband or a parent.
Tiffany remains tough as nails and ironwilled (like her Dad and brother). We are just loving on her as much as we can to keep her comfortable and safe.
