Winnie has had so much fun on vacation! It is always hit or miss how she will do being out of her normal routine. We have tried to keep things as normal for her as we can, but it is impossible to do everything she is used to. 
Her sleep space is always the biggest challenge to figure out when traveling. When we stay at a hotel or air bnb, it usually involves dismantling the whole room and putting the mattress on the floor. Thankfully, it is not quite that complicated here, since the room is already set up with Winnie in mind. It still takes some creativity to make it safe for her, though. She has to be fully enclosed, but is too big for a crib. We put the mattress in a corner and pad the edges with pillows and other things, but also have to be careful that she won’t get her face buried. 
She also has to have a video monitor so that we can watch her throughout the night. She has a fancy one at home, but when we travel we just bring a basic video baby monitor. We also bring her sound machine and special weighted blankets. 
There are many extra challenges to traveling with Winnie, but it is always worth it! We are so thankful that we have been able to spend this time visiting some of Ty’s family.
