Hi! Life is is so sweet with my girlies! Everyday is hilarious and I love getting to be their mama!!
We officially have an adoption date for Bug in November!! So excited to make it official! She will also be starting Preschool at the foundation for blind children at the beginning of October! She will go 4 days a week and will have 5 other classmates! They do animal therapy, music therapy, lots of outdoor activities, sensory activities! They are an amazing school and I’m so excited for her to start and make new friends!!! I was also able to get Bug into an aquatic PT program and she’s obsessed. Shes always loved being in the water and it’s so good on her muscles and joints to be able to move freely without gravity working against her! She loves to splash her and her therapist in the face!! Bug was also blessed with an amazing chair called the PPOD chair through the NORAH Foundation! We applied for a grant and they covered the entire cost of it! It is such a great chair for her to be able to be positioned well and not in the ground or in her wheelchair 24/7!
Vera continues to blow me away with what she decides she can do! She just got her first pair of glasses and I saw an improvement almost immediately in her walking! While it’s not going to correct her vision completely, it is helping to make everyday things a little easier for her! She is also more interested in food lately, she ate 4 mini rice cake treats the other day without gagging or throwing up! She still struggles with regulation but overall she’s doing well!!!
Here’s a few things we’re needing support in:
1. Prayers for Bug as she starts school! I think she’s going to love it but it’s going to be an adjustment!
2. Prayers for Vera to learn more body regulation and communication to help me know how to help her!
3. Prayers and donations for our van. I’m so blessed with our current car but it is a big struggle to fit both girls wheelchairs in the trunk and then we don’t have space for Vera’s gait trainer or anything else in the car. I’m still on the lookout for a ford transit 12 medium room that’s already adapted or if it’s newer, I can pay a company to adapt it for us.
Thank you all for your constant support and prayers!
