We Rang That Bell!!

Yesterday was a special milestone. I took donuts to the clinic as a thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and staff. Then, after my hydration infusion, we brought the kids back to help me ring the bell now that I’ve completed all 12 of my infusions. Brynn and Thatcher had huge smiles!

The nurses and staff gathered around and took pics for us. They were so happy for us and had given me a certificate of completion on Wednesday. Friends had cleaned and decorated the house as a surprise congratulations too.

This site doesn't allow videos, but here's a link to the video of us ringing the bell. From Virginia Beach to West Virginia to Tokyo, Japan, I had my people ringing bells and banging pots to join the celebration.

I almost don’t know what to do or how to think now that I don’t have another chemo treatment coming up. The sun is beautiful and there’s so much I want to do. I just have to wait for my body to catch up to my head.

This morning, I’m noticing neuropathy in my hands. It feels like my hands have gone to sleep. Thankfully it’s mild, but I’d appreciate your prayers that it won’t worsen and will go away soon.

I wish I could hug all of you and thank you for supporting me through this dark valley. We are planning an open house as a thank you to those who have helped, so stay tuned for a date and times to come by and let me give you that hug.

Love, Liz

Liz, I notice that you're going to get scoped today to see about the ileostomy...will be praying especially for decisions re: what to do about that. It's more complicated than I had thought, and I am praying God will give you the knowledge and courage you need to make the best decision going forward. Ending chemo is a big and wonderful thing! I remember being a little anxious when it was over, hoping the cancer wouldn't rear its ugly head again. Praying for that for you, as well. This warmer and sunny weather helps a LOT, doesn't it? :)
