So sorry all. I have tried to update tons of times and right when I do another staff member pokes in. Our days are always busy with people poking in on us.  Lots of wheels to assure the best care and some days it is way more than others. I even had an entire update pretty much finished and when I went to go back to it, it disappeared completely. Overall Grace's spirits are staying high but she definitely has her sad and frustrating times.

This weekend, starting Friday, was big for her. She was moved down two floors to a step down unit and she got to see her brothers, Madi, and Papa for the first time. She was so happy to get special time with them and feel some normalcy. The rest of the weekend was packed with visitors including a total of 22 visitors with 15 being all at the same time and some crossovers. She started her day Sunday with a spa day to get ready for her guests and got hungry waiting for PT and just wheeled herself to the elevator and ditched them all together. The staff got such a kick out of that. Great news is she is getting an appetite now that the feeding tube is gone.

Surgery Thursday went best case scenario for the third time in a row and as of now, no more surgeries in the works except for OR trips for wound cleaning and wound vac changes. She is scheduled for another one Wednesday evening but meeting with the plastic surgeons today to find out the plan for the skin graft on her left leg. She told us her plan is to go home Thursday. Lol. Hopefully we won't be too far off of her goal.

She has achieved so much in such a short amount of time and is blowing everyone here away. She has always been so determined and even more so now. She has had many things removed over the last few days and is down to two iv lines, only for procedures, and her wound vac lines. Today we switched to all oral meds and the oxy only when needed in transitioning to going home. So at the moment we are in a wait and see mode and will update when there is something to update.

She truly is the strongest, bravest person we know and her faith is getting her through so much more than we ever could have thought possible. Please continue prayers for her healing, comfort, and spirit.
