Zach finished his 8 weeks of inpatient rehab at Kessler and made a great amount of progress with his OT and PT therapists (in picture). I was able to drive him home on Oct 30th with a new accessible van we got, so we are now living together as a family again! Each day brings new challenges but it also brings an awareness and strength we never would have known otherwise. We’re still praying for more strength in his arms and hands so that he can be more independent, but his core and legs have been regaining a lot of strength. He started outpatient therapy at URMC this week and is working very hard. His attitude and ability to be such a kind, loving and positive man amidst all of the restrictions and pain he has to endure right now is a truly remarkable level of strength.
