Hey Friends,

Checking in with a couple of updates, praises and prayer requests. 

Jadon just had his chest tube and nerve block (like an epidural) removed. That is a major milestone in recovery. It was also a significant source of pain and discomfort. Having it out is a really big deal. We're slowly reducing the network of monitors and tubes. Down to just one now. Praise the Lord!

We also received the results of the ultrasound on the vocal cords back and showed no damage or injury! Potential damage to the vocal cords was among the primary risks of the procedure - more for Jadon since one vocal cord was already left paralyzed from a prior procedure, so that's another BIG deal. 

Unfortunately, one of our pre-op scans showed the potential for another (unrelated) issue that now has to be investigated. This means a handful of new diagnostic procedures including going back under anesthesia while we're here. That was and is pretty discouraging to all of us. Will give additional updates there as we have them and as Jadon feels comfortable sharing. In the meantime, please pray for healing, peace, encouragement, and, boldly, for no need for more surgeries. 

No news yet on discharge dates. Jadon is in pretty good spirits. We'll be watching football all day tomorrow. GEAUX Tigers!
