The inevitable happened and willow is neutropenic again. We are thankful and lucky that this last cycle didn't hit her as hard as it could, but the last round of high dose kicked her butt! Aidan went with her this time and it took her poor body 2 additional days to recover. She was home for about a week when we had to take her into the ER. Low counts and a UTI landed her a 3 night stay. Unfortunately her counts continued to drop and she needed an IVIG infusion, fortunately the infection responded to meds and she was able to come home. Because of low counts the next round is on hold. Blinatumomab is a boost to her system, her body just isn't ready yet. Aidan's surgery went well and he is well on his way to recovery. Sweet Wren had her scans and got an all clear, no surgery needed! So this week we stay home, we order our groceries to the house and we stay from anyone and everything to keep Willow as safe as possible.
